The City of Franklin
You’ll find the beautiful town of Franklin, Ohio located on the Miami River. Founded in 1796, the town was named after Founding Father Benjamin Franklin.
This historic town has a population just shy of 12,000. The close-knit community often gathers downtown for car shows, movies in the park, farmer’s markets and more.
Nestled less than 30 minutes south of Dayton and 40 minutes north of Cincinnati, Franklin offers the best of small-town living while taking advantage of the big cities nearby. Atrium hospital, Miami Valley Hospital and Miami Valley Hospital South are some of the healthcare centers conveniently located just 20 minutes away.
Former Mayor Jim Mears has been heavily involved with the Franklin community for many years – and stayed at Franklin Ridge for rehabilitation after having a knee replacement.
“I came up and visited the place … It was nothing like I expected. It was spotless,” Mears said about his rehabilitation at Franklin Ridge. “Very friendly atmosphere.”
