The City of Berea
Berea Lake Towers is located in Berea, Ohio which has a population of around 19,000 and was founded in 1836. It is about 12 miles south of Cleveland and is the home of Baldwin Wallace University. Berea successfully captures a small college town feel while providing many of the advantages experienced in larger city living.
Nearly 500 businesses operate in Berea and there are five main shopping areas. Within a two-block radius of Berea Lake Towers, there is a shopping center, post office and various restaurants. Just steps from our front door is the Berea Library and beautiful Coe Lake is right in our backyard. Residents can enjoy these many community offerings, complete with walking paths and sitting areas, even without access to a car.
Berea is home to major medical facilities, including the Southwest General Medical Health Center, St. John Westshore, UH Parma Medical Center and the world renowned Cleveland Clinic Hospitals (Fairview, Lakewood & Marymount Hospitals) are a short drive up the highway. Community events occur throughout the year, including Concerts at the Gazebo nestled at the shore of Coe Lake, the Cuyahoga County Fair and the Grindstone Festival. Berea is a scenic town on the edge of metro parks which provide hiking, biking, swimming and fishing opportunities. The Cleveland Browns also call Berea home, housing their front office and practice facilities.
